Teen Scene

Are you needing a great place to read, do homework with friends, work on a project or just relax? Where can you find a place that has computers, research materials, and staff dedicated to help you succeed? The Chesapeake Public Library has all that and more! You'll find a great selection of fiction books, including mystery, horror, science fiction, and romance, plus manga, graphic novels, and popular teen magazines at all of our area libraries.

Check out what’s happening at your local branch of the Chesapeake Public Library. When you find a program you want to attend, be sure to check if online registration is required. Questions about online registration - or anything else? Contact your library branch.

Want to meet with other teens at your library? Check out TAG. We can’t wait to see you!

The latest edition of "FONT" is here!

The Chesapeake Public Library is pleased to publish the third issue of "FONT: A Journal of Poetry." Edited by award winning poet Jon Pineda, FONT is a literary journal dedicated to featuring poetry by high school students currently residing in Chesapeake. The Friends of the Chesapeake Public Library sponsor the publication.

FONT offers a unique opportunity for Chesapeake high school students to be published. Poets accepted for publication receive one complimentary Contributor's Copy and are invited to participate in the Chesapeake Poetry Festival's "Teen Open Mic Night" held at the Central Library.
